How to Open and Make Gif in Photopea

People communicate with each other using gifs nowadays. Today, a gif is a combination of moving images. It’s good to know how to create a gif in photopea since it can edit photos very well, but it’s difficult to create one without learning how to create a gif in photopea.

How to open the gif in Photopea?

The simple way to open a gif in photopea is to go to file and select open. You need a gif file in able to open a gif otherwise you won’t able to see images moving. Now select a gif file that you downloaded from the internet.

Now we have a folder but the images are not moving. So in able to move images you have to go to file and then hover the mouse to export and select gif.

Now in the gif export window, you can customize your gif by changing speed, etc.

How to make a gif Photopea?

To create a gif in photopea you have to go to file and select new to create a new project.

Now customize your resolution and click on create button and your project will be created.

Now to create a gif you have to create a new empty layer to do this you have to click on the empty layer icon and your layer will be created.

Now you can either use a text tool or a brush tool to make a gif. But we will use both tools.

Make gif using the brush tool:

Now select a brush tool and draw something.

Now create another empty layer and draw something in it as well.

Now you will have to repeat this step to make a large gif but I’m going to make it short.

Now I have created a six-layer gif now to make the gif work you have to rename all the layers.

Now select the first layer and type this ”_a_” now rename all the layers with this ”_a_”.

Now in order to move the images, you have to go to the file and hover to export and select gif and a gif window will appear.

Now in this window, you can change the gif name, and customize the resolution, quality, and speed of this gif.
Now you can also reverse frames to move images in reverse and you can even boomerang your gif to make a loop of this gif. Now the final step is to click on the Save button to export this gif.

Make gif using text tool:

Now to make a gif using the text tool select the text tool and type a character.

Now duplicate this text layer by right click on the text layer and selecting duplicate or using the keyboard shortcut ‘ctrl+j‘. Now double click on text layer copy and type a new text. Now repeat this step for few more times. Now select text layers individually and change their positions. Now rename all the text layers to this ”_a_”. Now go to file and hover to export and select gif. Now in this window, you can change the gif name, and customize the resolution, quality, and speed of this gif. Now the final step is to click on the Save button to export this gif.
